Thoughts of you float through my mind,

Just as the clouds float in the sky.

I smile as I remember

The time I had with you.

Although it was short,

It was quality time.

I held you in my arms nonstop.

You knew that your mommy loved you.

You were so peaceful in my arms.

When the nursery came to get you,

I felt a piece of myself go too.

There was just a sweet spirit when you

Were around.

You put a smile in so many hearts,

And you helped heal so many hurts.

Your mission on earth was accomplished

In just a few short days.

There are some who don’t accomplish what you

Did their whole, long life.
