Amy Michelle Wilson is the proud mother of seven children, three of whom are still here on this earth. Her and her husband, Danny, have been married for sixteen years and currently raise their family in the Nashville, TN area.
Timothy Michael is thirteen, and Jessica Michelle and Elizabeth Kay are both two. The other four, Nicholas Daniel, Eli Joseph, Toby Allen, and Abigail Caroline, are all in heaven awaiting her arrival.
Since an early age Amy has been writing poetry and so perhaps it is only natural that in the most trying times of her life she has found expression in the verse and rhyme God has given her. This website features the poems inspired by the circumstances surrounding the deaths of her children.
Amy’s heart beats for her family and for her Savior and for all those who may be traveling a similar path. To those who have also lost children or other loved ones dear to them due to unexpected or premature death she says, “You are not alone.”
The Bible says that the kingdom of heaven belongs to little children (Matthew 19:14) and for this Amy is extremely grateful.
It is wonderful to know that her precious children are with the Lord in heaven above and that all who call upon the name of the Lord will join them one day in a heavenly reunion (Romans 10:13).
As you read Amy's writings, you will hear the real heart of a real woman and mother who is experiencing real grief and real emotions. There is nothing fake about this nor should there be.
Ecclesiastes chapter 3 tells us that there is a time for everything, including a time to grieve.
It's often tempting to stuff our emotions and stuff our feelings and pretend to be strong when we're not. But it's okay to grieve. And it's okay to be real.
Scripture tells us that those who mourn are blessed because they will be comforted (Matthew 5:4). It is one thing to hear these words and believe them; it is another to experience them. Amy can testify first-hand that God is faithful.
